i am dreaming of summers past. when we walked down those dusty roads in the setting sun. it was pure, there was life budding all around. and we ran through the fields in the joy of what we had found.

and we held out our hands when we touched the sea. wore crowns of flowers playing make-believe. we were children playing under a light blue sky. never carrying burdens yet knowing all things must die.

it grows dark and we stand as we watch the world. saddened then, saddened now by what we've seen. but there is hope and a cross breaks our strong chains free. when we were blind and could not see.
